What we collect

KnowZee is a proximity-based guessing game. To make the game work we collect:

• Your phone number, used only to sign you in over SMS.
• Your display name and the stories, hints, guesses, and reactions you post.
• Your approximate location while the app is open, used to find stories within 200 ft of you and to show your story to nearby players. We do not share your precise coordinates with other users.
• A push notification token (if you opt in) so we can let you know about nearby stories and guesses on your stories.

How we use it

We use your data only to operate the game: matching you with nearby stories, delivering notifications, preventing abuse, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your KnowZee account from inside the app at any time. This removes your phone number, display name, stories, guesses, reactions, and notification settings. The action cannot be undone.

To delete your account:

1. Open the KnowZee app and sign in.
2. Tap the Me tab in the bottom navigation.
3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

If you can't access the app — for example you lost the phone number you signed up with — email feedback@KnowZee.app from any address and we will delete your account on your behalf.

Data retention

Active stories expire automatically based on the duration you choose when posting. Account data is retained until you delete your account. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and debugging.
